2012 Super Tour
Doctor/Vet Out Rule

Should a contestant need to vet out or doctor release out of a show, they will have until the beginning of that race to do so.  You will be allowed to vet out or doctor release out of a show until the first horse runs each day.  Upon presentation of a vet or doctor release you will receive all of your entry fees and any unused stall fees.  We realize that things can happen after the old 10 day rule that can not be avoided and rather that penalize contestants for pre-entering our show, hopefully this will encourage contestants to pre-enter without fear of loosing their entry fee should their horse come up crippled or a family emergency.  As in the past you must still present a valid vet release or doctors release in order to qualify for this refund and it must be done prior to the  beginning of each race that you need to be released from.  At that time your entry will be shown as a scratch and the entry fee will be deducted from the payout for that race.  Should anyone have a question on the total number of contestants running at any of our races they will be able to come to the show office and ask to see the actual vet or doctor releases on that race.

Vet or doctor releases can be faxed to our office at (940)538-4329 up to Tuesday at 12:00 noon prior to the race.  After that time we have left for the race and the vet or doctor release must be delivered to the D&G Show Office at the show location.  If a vet or doctor release is faxed to the show location it is the contestants responsibility to make sure the release is delivered to the D&G Show Office.  The vet or doctor's release does not become valid  until it is delivered to someone on the D&G office staff.

We hope that this will be of benefit to the contestants and in turn encourage people to go ahead and pre-enter our shows.  We will still continue to have a late fee of $10 per entry, however since contestants will be able to pre-enter with out the fear of loosing their entry fee this late fee  will be the contestant's option instead of something the contestant feels necessary and in hopes will also help us keep paperwork to a minimum at the show.

We appreciate our contestants and hopefully this is one way we can show our appreciation and benefit both of us.
